Who am I?
Hello and welcome! I’m Lindsay, licensed clinical social worker who loves people, chocolate milk, nut butters by the spoon, and cheese danishes (see a trend here?) But mostly people :) Better yet, helping those beautiful people, even in small ways. The small things most often become the big things. And I can’t imagine doing anything else in this life.
I graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in broadcast journalism (WHAT?!) But it wasn’t until I had my first child, and an exhilarating ride through postpartum mental illness, that I found my true career-purpose (I specify *career* here, because I believe we have many purposes in this human existence).
Not able to access any real resources at that time (I was living in a major city then), and feeling very isolated, I knew something had to change. Once I had transitioned out of that season in my own life, I made it my mission to help others gain much needed access to quality mental health care and support, in addition to other essential resources. I earned my master’s degree in social work, and have been making the decision every day since to commit to a life in service of others.
As a tried-and-true social worker, I view the whole person. So many factors impact how we see our world and how we think and feel. Our genetics, our inborn temperament, our personality, the history of our experiences, our current socio-economic environment and circumstances, the people we surround ourselves with. So many parts to tend to! You are beautifully unique, and have the right to healthcare that considers the whole of you.
Nothing fancy over here, we just do what works.
I’ve got grit, and so do you.

Who are you?
Big question, I know. But one that is always worth exploring.
I am a person who has always seen more, even from a very young age. And you know who deserves to be seen? You do. Your perspective, your pain, your experience, your quirks, your heart, your fascinating mind.
You are a seeker. You are hurting. You are confused, or scared, or disappointed. Maybe you are heartbroken, or lost. You also may be really, really grateful to be alive, and want to make the most of every moment of your life. You just can’t quite figure out what you need.
You are sacred. You are special. You are worthy.
…………….and you are likely shaking your head “no” while reading this.
So we have some work to do. Don’t be afraid of the work. It’s dirty, but so worth it. And you absolutely CAN do it.
More specifics over here…………………….
